I’m Right Here Poem
So far from home in an unknown territory
Every day you cross my mind.
I long for comfort
I long for moments left behind.
Holding hands with you in the winter
standing by the doorway, hoping you enter
Our love is a photograph.
I still have the picture of your smile when you laugh.
I still bake apple pies, hoping it taste like yours.
I wish I told you I love you before
I want to hold you some more.
Why does love feel like I’m being ripped open?
Why does pain make me feel every moment?
I want to text you, but I’m scared.
I’m right here by the water.
But I want to be there.
