Fatherhood Poem

I held you in my arms as you fell asleep.

My baby, my charm, my love is deep.

I knew when you were born, I wanted to be a man.

crawling on the floor  to being a helping hand

Joy fills the room with laughter.

You jump out of my arms, running faster.

water slipping out of my hands

My son is becoming a man.
